THREE FACES WEST, a winning point-to-pointer, made a promising start under Rules at Ayr after a long absence and showed the benefit with an emphatic victory over the minimum trip back there last month. He has more to offer and can take this for Donald McCain. After scoring easily at Market Rasen, Gone Forever had no answer to the impressive Desilvano at Catterick where the longer trip didn't suit though his jumping left plenty to be desired.
