        Verdict

        AD LIBITUM has never tackled a trip as far as this but wasn't stopping when just failing to hold Garden Oasis at Haydock on Thursday and can finally get off the mark. Firby followed a close third over 1m2f at Redcar with a fair run over this trip in a better race at York and should be thereabouts but Canadian George was a disappointing favourite at Ripon last time. Poetic Steps won a minor handicap at Musselburgh and led to this trip when tackling 1m6f at Sandown last time so could provide the main threat. Ormesher has yet to win but he's by Sir Percy so should be suited by stepping up in trip here.
