Verdict

CLONDAW KAEMPFER went up to 147 after landing a Grade 3 handicap at Aintree in 2014 and has been racing at that level ever since. He's down 7lb for this and though not seen since last April has the quality to see him through. Sa Suffit is now a teenager but back on the same mark as when last successful at Ayr just under a year ago and he ran well over fences last time. Maxie T went up 11lb for a very easy victory on heavy going at Kelso and hasn't quite been able to cope but his young rider's claim will aid his cause. Pistol came here on the back of a long losing run twelve days ago and turned a moderate handicap into a procession. A 14lb rise looks tough but he's obviously in good heart and will enjoy the conditions.
