Verdict
MIDNIGHT MARTINI is taken to come out on top here after a good run at Pontefract last time, with Gower Sophia and Emerald Girl to chase him home. After three sound placed efforts Gower Sophia was made favourite at Redcar recently, but disappointed. If returning to earlier form, including a second to Royal Ascot runner-up Fratellino-although there were no apparent excuses at Redcar-she can go well. Emerald Girl showed promise over six furlongs here on debut, and she will have learnt from that experience. From the unstoppable Richard Fahey camp, she is respected. Midnight Martini, having finished a close fourth on debut, ran a similar race recently at Pontefract. However, that had the feel of a good quality race, and she was not beaten far. Tim Easterby has had a quiet season but Midnight Martini can shine for him here.
