Verdict

This looks a competitive affair but it would be no surprise to see Duke Debarry bounce back having lost his way at the end of last season – his yard is in cracking form. Air De Rock may also need a confidence-booster but can’t be ignored while Sebastian Beach bids to follow up last month’s Kelso win off a 9lb higher mark. POOKIE PEKAN won over track and trip in March and looks capable of better as he gains experience so he gets the nod as this trip looks far too short for Sandhurst Lad, who was second over an extended 3m6f at Exeter when last seen and is having a first run for a new yard.
