Verdict
Wild Cane Ridge put up a very promising debut over fences at Newcastle earlier in the month, and he can defy a penalty to follow up here, with Rebel Rhythm, Supreme Leisure and Turpin Green others to consider in a decent contest for the track. The selection is seen as a future Scottish National horse by Len Lungo, so he should have plenty of stamina to draw upon in this energy sapping ground that he clearly enjoys. He jumped very well last time and we'll stick with him to do it again here. Rebel Rhythm put up a decent effort behind Albuhera over an inadequate trip at Wetherby before disappointing at Huntingdon. This looks his optimum trip and he also relishes cut, so it's not beyond the realms of possibility that he could go well once more. Supreme Leisure is another who should love the ground and will see out this trip well. He's sure to be well schooled for his chasing debut and market confidence would be significant. Turpin Green is another to consider very carefully, and if he can transfer the sort of form that saw him beat My Way De Solzen over hurdles to his chasing career then he can go places. He could give the selection most to do, but for today Wild Cane Ridge has the experience in the locker and that can prove decisive.
