    Verdict

A rare runner at the track for Sir Michael Stoute, SCALLOP is the one to beat. She finished ahead of a couple of subsequent winners when runner-up on her debut on the Polytrack and can get off the mark in this company. The older horses have spent more time hurdling than on the Flat so the main dangers look to be the newcomers. Law Keeper is related to a couple of winners and could go well but Mediate is a half-brother to Group 3 winner Amour Prope and may prove a bigger threat.
