In depth
Verdict
Not a bad classified stakes and a particularly interesting candidate is Michael Jarvis' Malmand, who has been contesting better races at Grade 1 tracks and has shown enough to be the clear choice here if running to previous marks. Jarvis' runners have a good strike rate at Carlisle and Malmand looks outstanding here. Lost At Sea has tumbled down the weights over the last year and might give the selection most to think about, although Santiburi Lad can't be ruled out after a good effort at Hamilton last time. Dandy Regent and all-weather campaigner Prince Prospect would be best of the rest.
