In depth

Verdict

Bahamian Duke can complete a hat-trick at the expense of The History Man, Glasshoughton, Rondo and Maison Dieu. Bahamian Duke will be a popular choice here thanks to the fact that he has won his last two races over the course-and-distance. On both occasions, this full-brother to Treasure Cay has made all the running to hold on narrowly, and although he has to shoulder a 6lb penalty, there is more improvement from this lightly-raced individual. The History Man had to overcome traffic problems when short-headed by Gavernie Beau at Leicester and despite topweight should again make his presence felt. Glasshoughton was another that was done no favours when beaten at Ayr but had opened his account at Sandown the time before, and this stiff finish should suit. Rondo looks held on that form, while Maison Dieu needs to improve but ran on well enough when seeing daylight at Redcar last time. They can all play a part, but we take Bahamian Duke to lead from pillar-to-post.
