In depth

Verdict

Ice Melted is well treated on chase form and Jonjo O'Neill's gelding, who is more than capable over hurdles, can take advantage of his current mark and resume winning ways and he gets the vote ahead of Osako D'airy and Red Sun. The last mentioned was good value for his win in a claiming hurdle at Market Rasen last time but a 7lb penalty for that success leaves Gay Kelleway's gelding with more to do here. Richard Lee has his string in good form so lack of a recent run need not be of concern for Lago, while Inn From The Cold similarly has not raced for some time and the market may be the best guide as to his chance as well. Oscar The Boxer could probably do with some help from the handicapper, while Cybora is probably best watched on his British debut. Osako D'airy was a decisive winner of a Market Rasen handicap last time and has to be respected despite the 7lb penalty but Ice Melted looks well treated and he is preferred.
