In depth

Verdict

A couple of these arrive off the back of recent course and distance wins. Sarasota Star scored on good going and is 8lb higher but APPLAUS was having his first start since last Boxing Day when winning by five lengths in testing ground and Micky Hammond’s charge is taken to go close again given the likely soft underfoot conditions. Aristo Du Plessis also won here back in February and will be sharper for a recent outing while Meteorite finished runner-up at Plumpton on his comeback and is preferred to Coole Well.
