Verdict

SHAKE IT UP runs over hurdles for the first time in almost three years but was second over fences over this trip here in May. He can race off a 4lb lower mark today, less Becky Smith’s claim, and first-time cheekpieces might give him some impetus. There are stamina concerns regarding Perseid and he’s not the force of old, though he was third over 2m6f here last time. Serpico looks a bigger threat, especially on his fourth at Stratford in April, but News For Pascal is 0-16 under Rules though probably has each-way claims again.
