      Verdict

      Ratified has become disappointing over fences but should not be inconvenienced by the testing conditions. A former winner on the level, he may make the most of this easy opportunity at the main expense of King Plato who failed to last home on his hurdling bow over two and a half miles and is capable of better. Alvaro is exposed as a poor hurdler and has shown his best form on a faster surface.
