In depth

Verdict

Top weight Parisienne Gale comes into this in good form following his win at Ayr last month but that was on a softer surface and a safer bet looks to be Master Nimbus, who gets the vote ahead of Alethea Gee and Faraway Echo. The last mentioned won a weak seller over course and distance two starts ago and struggled back in a handicap last time so is probably best left alone, while Megan's Magic has finally been given a chance by the handicapper but has given little sign of encouragement of late. Arjay has claims on the pick of his form and cannot be discounted along with Reg Hollinshead's Think Quick. More solid claims are probably held by Keith Reveley's Alethea Gee, who showed his first form for some time when chasing home Lone Soldier at Market Rasen last month. However, preference is for recent Hereford winner Master Nimbus, who has ground conditions to suit and is fairly treated off just a 7lb higher mark than at Hereford.
