Verdict

PELTWELL ran creditably in the Swinton Hurdle but appeared to appreciate the much faster going when obliging at Newton Abbot next time out. Battle Of Toro is respected as a previous scorer here and he will be joined by last year’s winner Alqamar but it could be significant that Charlotte Jones is aboard Vocal Duke. He has recently joined the Moffatt team having left Toby Lawes. Eskendash has a first try at racing in the Lake District but he did win comfortably at Catterick and a useful pilot has been booked. El Borracho was a recent victor at Uttoxeter and is of obvious interest with Gina Andrews coming up for the mount.
