Verdict

Nortonthorpelegend shaped well on return from a break and should be spot-on now. He's useful at this level at his best but fellow topweight DAMIENS DILEMMA, a course and distance winner, may have the edge. The Coltherd gelding ran a cracker here the last day when reeled in late by the enigmatic Ever So Much and will be in the mix if repeating that level. Irish raider Mash Potato is one to note in the market and he shaped with considerable promise here the last day behind Dutch Canyon. He may well be ready to strike. Shaiyzar was a strong-finishing second in that contest with Alto Des Mottes close up in third and both merit a place on the shortlist.
