Verdict

Donald McCain is doubly represented with recent Hexham scorer, Birch Vale, preferred to Our Kylie although the yard are presumably looking for further improvement with the application of first-time cheekpieces despite that Northumberland victory. Green Or Black makes the trek from Wiltshire after an improved run at Newton Abbot when looking likely to score before being outgunned late on. He looks dangerous but MILLIE THE MINX, a winning hurdler who's been running well on the Flat, was a close fourth, only beaten a length, in a competitive handicap for the grade at Hamilton on Thursday. She's interesting back over timber this quickly off a fair mark.
