Verdict

Summer Lightening runs in this rather than over fences earlier on the card but is 3lb out of the handicap. With Bright Eyed Eagle, Oakmont will be fancied to enhance Jimmy Moffatt’s excellent strike-rate on the track but he did only win a seller here at the start of the month. Irish raider ELLAAT (NAP) has yet to place in five attempts over hurdles but he’s been keeping better company and was always travelling best when beating a big field over 1m4f on the level at Fairyhouse two weeks ago - a mark of 98 could be very lenient.
