In depth

Verdict

Clemento made a promising return following a lay-off at Warwick but has failed to pull up any trees in two starts since, though is Fergal O’Brien’s only runner on today’s card. The Steward has also become disappointing while Ascot Day has finished tailed off on the Flat since a second at Ffos Las. Millie The Minx is 8lb higher than when scoring at Sedgefield in April but has place twice on the level since. Only a four-year-old, HOOROO beat a subsequent dual winner at Perth last month and, with rain forecast, could bounce back here after a below-par effort at Ffos Las.
