Verdict

A cracking renewal of this Class 2 handicap. The Navigator and Ingleby Hollow finished second and third respectively at Kelso four weeks ago and both are in good form. But ALQAMAR knows where the winning post is here and appears to be the stable pick ahead of recent course and distance winner Vocal Duke. Hurricane Ali has won three of his last four while Bashful Boy got back to winning ways at Market Rasen. Platinumcard ran at Royal Ascot 10 days ago and will appreciate the give in the ground while Finest View has won his last four but has little in hand over Island Mahee on their 1-2 here last month and this looks a much tougher assignment.
