In depth

Verdict

This doesn't look much of a race and provides an opportunity for Donald McCain's French recruit KITCHAPOLY. Twice a winning hurdler in France, he's bred to be a star over jumps and should have a nice introduction for new connections. Aficionado, a winner at Beverley in May for Ed Dunlop, ran well at Newmarket in June and could prove a threat but it's difficult to imagine either Precision Strike or Hi Candy finding the necessary improvement from their poor form over timber.
