Verdict
PETE was always travelling nicely and gained an impressive victory over hurdles here on Saturday. His jumping has let him down over fences in the past but his confidence should have been restored and he can complete a quick double. The Paddy Premium defied his advancing years with a comfortable all-the-way success at Perth and will take some catching despite a 5lb rise while Soul Magic loves it around here and won this a year ago and is still very well handicapped despite his latest success last month when Sendiym was a long way behind. Finch Flyer has yet to reach a place in seven starts over fences.
