Verdict
If Marcus Eile is ever going to get two miles, it will be at a sharp track like this and against modest opponents like Go Green and Green 'N' Gold, who are capable in this grade but are also vulnerable to anything that can find a turn of foot. Therefore, we take a chance that Karl Burke has found the ideal opening for his charge to really prove his stamina. Blood Money is also of interest now that he is upped in distance and, as a rare runner to make the journey from Neville Callaghan's Newmarket yard up to Catterick, he has to be respected. However, he has only beaten a handful of horses home in any of his four previous starts and looks a risky proposition for win only purposes on what he has shown to date. Verstone is also open to improvement at the trip and gets all the allowances open to her as a three-year-old. Watch the betting where she is concerned. However, Marcus Eile has a much more solid profile and, having acquitted himself well over two miles last week, he is expected to cope with the new challenge presented to him today.
