        Verdict

        Jamie Spencer can claw one back in his quest for the jockeys' championship with High Command, who is readily preferred over Waki Naki Noo and Carr Hall, while debutante Lightning Affair will not need to be anything special to get involved in a scrap for one of the places. The last named is a half-brother to Takes Tutu, who won six times during his time with Mark Johnston. However, as was the case his sibling, Lightning Affair is likely to progress with time and is probably best watched here. Carr Hall was not given a hard time on his debut and was doing some solid work near the finish. The step up in distance may help him and he is one to bear in mind if he is supported. Waki Naki Noo has winners at this trip in his pedigree and also caught the eye when he was introduced at Ayr last month. The form of that run was rubber stamped at Thirsk on Saturday and he too should be capable of being in the ruckus for the minor honours. However, High Command has easily the best form on offer at this stage and is expected to find the necessary change of gear when Spencer as for more effort today.
