Verdict
McEldowney and Consider This are two of the most exposed runners in the line-up and they may fight out the finish, with the former just swaying the decision, Trew Flight is suggested as a danger. Mark Johnston's colt reverts to maidens following a decent effort in a valuable nursery at Hamilton, when just eight lengths Windy Prospect. That was over the six furlong trip and his best form appears to be over today's distance of seven furlongs. Consider This has come up against some decent opposition all season, including Godolphin's Russian Revolution at Ayr last time. She gets a handy nine pounds from our selection so must be a major threat. The dark horse in the field is Trew Flight, she was thought good enough to run in a very hot Newmarket maiden last time and is open to any amount of improvement. Plenty Cried Wolf can also be given a squeak on bits and pieces of form, but McEldowney appears to have the best overall form and gets the vote.
