Verdict
This looks to be the weaker of the two divisions of the maiden and it could fall to Bold Haze, with Primarily and Spinnakers Girl put forward as the main dangers. Sally Hall's gelding made a very promising debut at Ripon when a close up third behind Zomerlust. He disappointed next time behind Ridder at York but the firm ground was possibly against him on that occasion and it could be he will be much more at home on this surface.Primarily put in his best performance to date when chasing home Doitforreel at Pontefract last time, he is obviously going the right way and will be a big threat to the selection. Spinnakers Girl has had plenty of chances but should still be good enough to reach the frame. Peter Roughley, a stable companion of Primarily could prove best of the others, but Bold Haze is given a chance to redeem himself and gets the verdict
