Verdict

Columbus Secret, the only C&D winner in the field, will appreciate the better ground after struggling on soft going at Ayr last time. Border Reiver gained his first success over fences at Wetherby last month but couldn't cope with a 7lb rise at Musselburgh 10 days later and is on the same mark here. Bennynthejets looked a bright chasing prospect when landing two handicaps at the backend of 2009 but hasn't shown much in a couple of starts this season though he's slipped back to his last winning mark and is on the short-list. EARL GREZ and young Kyle James were very unfortunate to come up against an inspired AP McCoy ride when just touched off by Folie A Deux at Warwick. Philip Kirby's young chaser is on the upgrade and can gain compensation here. You Know Yourself looks the biggest threat as his victory at Wetherby was followed by an unlucky run at Market Rasen where his rider lost his irons.
