Verdict

ESCAPE ARTIST has not yet raced when there has been cut in the ground but his sire Act One relished it and we will chance him to come good again. Tim Easterby's charge took a maiden handicap at Beverley in July and races from just 1lb higher today. He stays well and if he can answer that question over the ground positively then the rest can fall into place. Fair Spin stays forever and is far from out of this from a mark of 52 with no problem over conditions. Strikemaster won a hurdle on heavy ground and is also back on a hugely competitive mark if he can put a couple of poor runs behind him. Delorain won from a similar mark on the Polytrack earlier in the year though these conditions are vastly different, while Pinewood Legend would be very interesting if supported.
