Verdict
A tough opener can go to Paradise Flight, who edges preference over Spring Breeze and Classic Event, while Establishment and Sun Hill are others to monitor in the betting. The last named usually comes good at this time of year and is probably better than he has shown on the all weather of late. The switch to turf can rekindle his interest and support at fancy prices would be dangerous to ignore. Establishment stays this trip well and he should have benefited from a couple of recent outings. However, like Toni Alcala, he has a bit to do at the weights and he will need to be at the very top of his game to come out on top. Classic Event has plenty of experience of this track and arrives here after a fairly rewarding spell over hurdles. However, he has been hard to win with on the level and looks to be a little risky for win only purposes. Spring Breeze was also a little frustrating towards the end of last year, as he continually found a few too good. However, he is a previous course and distance winner and can make them all pull out the stops if he is fully wound up after his winter break. However, the ex-Irish Paradise Flight makes more appeal at this stage, as she is still relatively unexposed at the trip. The Kevin Ryan-trained filly has been very lightly raced since she won the Ulster Cesarewitch at Down Royal last August. However, she did drop a significant hint that she retains plenty of ability when winning at Lingfield a couple of months ago and, with showers predicted to take the sting out of the ground, she can benefit the most if this becomes a grinding test of stamina.
