Verdict

THE NAME IS FRANK can prevail here at the main expense of Monsieur Reynard and Towy Boy. Mark Gillard's 4-year-old has gone close on each of his last two starts and he looks to have been found a good opportunity here to get his head in front. He is clearly on a competitive mark at present and he was only narrowly beaten last time behind Boho Chic. A reproduction of that effort would give him a big chance here from his favourable draw. Monsieur Reynard is another that arrives here in good form and there was plenty to like about the way he chased home Metal Guru at Wolverhampton last time. But he has only registered one win in 33 attempts and from a poor draw the percentage call would be to take him on. Towy Boy is another who has become frustrating to follow and he has yet to get his head in front in 31 attempts. He will need everything in his favour to score, and as he also has a poor draw we will look elsewhere. Scott Dobson won this race last year and he partners Princess Charlmane, but she was well beaten at Newcastle last time and she is hard to fancy. The Name Is Frank will get maximum assistance from Simon Walker in the saddle and he gets the vote.
