    Verdict

It's been some time since HI DANCER won on the Flat, but he's been in fine form over hurdles of late and finished a good second over a shorter trip here last time. He looks one of many capable of winning this open affair. Others include recent Bath winner Ministerofinterior, though he's gone up 8lb for that success and was beaten by Ad Value at Musselburgh before that, while Dan's Heir went close at Redcar last time and Pocket Too arrives on the back of last month's double over hurdles. Three White Socks has been running well at Southwell and is another to consider.
