Verdict
The hat-trick seeking Perfect Distance has been clobbered by the handicapper (having been raised 7lbs) for his narrow win at Musselburgh last time and we prefer to side with Tamesis at the other end of the weights. Tim Easterby's filly looks to be well treated if judged by her fourth placed efforts behind Cape Trafalgar and Mirasol Princess at Haydock. The daughter of Fasliyev failed to stay six furlongs at Ripon last time and, back over the minimum trip, she looks the one to be on. Thirsk winner Summer Magic failed to reproduce a similar level of form at Nottingham subsequently and may not appreciate the drop to five furlongs. More solid claims are held by recent course and distance second Bridgewater Boys and his conqueror there Bowling Along but we are happy to side with Tamesis, who is taken to score off her lowly weight.
