In depth
Verdict
OTTO QUERCUS can strike for his in-form yard with Kosta Brava and Stuff Of Dreams representatives from powerful stables that could threaten. The selection has been off the track since running a close third on his chase debut at Taunton in November in a fairly moderate but tight contest. If anything, this race is weaker and the tight track should play to his strengths as he has looked a doubtful stayer in his time and he's worth another chance. Kosta Brava finished 22 lengths behind Quwetwo on debut which prompted connections to buy the winner so they must have felt that he had ability. He has yet to do a great deal on the track to suggest that that's the case but chasing may bring out the best in him. Stuff Of Dreams was well held at this track on her chase debut but the experience should stand her in good stead and it would be no surprise to see her in a better light with that run under her belt. Bardolet may improve for the switch of obstacles and Farne Island is by no means a back number but Otto Quercus gets the nod.
