Verdict

Blue Hawaii won a Musselburgh bumper on good ground in November then appeared to find 2m5f taxing her stamina on her hurdles bow at Kelso the following month. Ginger Du Val, a dual bumper winner in France, should now be ready to do herself justice over timber but Carlisle bumper winner Kitty Hall hasn't made the expected progress though ran a bit better at Musselburgh last time. Sashenka, a four-times winner on the Flat, has been beaten at short odds in her last three starts including here in December. She'll probably get into the frame again but WHISPERING GYPSY (NAP), who had shown potential in bumpers in Ireland, was impressive when landing a Lingfield bumper on her debut for Dan Skelton and can make a successful hurdling debut.
