Verdict

CAPTAIN LARS arrives with a 6lb penalty for an easy victory in a Class 5 handicap at Ffos Las last week, the 20th victory of his career. He's won from much higher marks than this and another success looks on the cards. Another veteran, Seamster, went close to gaining his 17th career victory at Chepstow, the first time he'd dropped into this lowly grade for over two years. One Boy gave notice of an imminent victory when runner-up at Hamilton and he duly obliged at Beverley. Any further rain would aid his cause while there are plenty of course and distance winners in the line-up including Lexington Place, who won at Ayr the last time he ran at this level, and Pearl Acclaim, who had the favourite Crosse Fire behind when scoring here last month. Highly Focussed would have a chance on his victory at Beverley and he was badly impeded at Newcastle last time.
