Nonrunner

In depth

Verdict

Elaala gets the vote over Maunby Reveller, with Rossin Gold and Jamaaron others expected to figure in a weak contest. Elaala only had six starts on the Flat for Vince Smith, failing to catch the eye, and after two moderate efforts in non-selling company over timber, finally showed a glimpse of form in what was a very poor selling hurdle at Ludlow. She finished a close second to Parsley's Return that day with another of today's rivals, Jamaaron, well held in third. She should at least maintain the form over that rival and is taken to come out on top in a contest which in truth is little better. Maunby Reveller is only plating class and at least lines up fit after a spin on the all-weather nine days ago. Rossin Gold kept on well enough when third in a non-selling hurdle at Ayr 10 days ago and so has to be worth a mention, but he probably needs further than today's trip. The market is the only guide to the rest, and in an uninspiring contest we return to Elaala as the answer.
