    Verdict

Princess Society gets the vote over the Johnston pair King's Fable and Unique Moment, with Synonymy and Royal Moon others to consider. Ed Dunlop has been in fair form of late, and the booking of Robert Winston for Princess Society catches the eye. The daughter of Desert Prince ran unaccountably badly on her first try on the Southwell Fibresand six weeks ago, finishing last of the 11 runners, but is better than that judged on two previous efforts on the other all-weather tracks. She has continued to work well at home, and connections will be puzzled if she does not put in a much better effort this time. King's Fable faded out of the placings at Wolverhampton last time and is now stepped up in trip. Stablemate Unique Moment has to give weight away all round and is not guaranteed to like the ground, while the same comment applies to Synonymy on evidence so far. Royal Moon should get the trip on the dam's side and is worth a mention at least, but in a moderate contest we return to Princess Society as the answer.
