Verdict

Micky Hammond has three entries with Becky Smith's mount Burnage Boy probably the pick. He's 0-27 but hasn't been beaten far in his last two when staying on over shorter. Eclair Des Sablons is 1-17 over hurdles and has been beaten in sellers the last twice but the maiden Court Jurado has been reasonably consistent over hurdles and fences. Donald McCain's charge has been running well in Class 5 handicaps over shorter and, as a winner between the flags, should appreciate stepping up in trip. However, he finished behind COUP DE GOLD when the latter made a bold bid to make all at Sedgefield last month and David Thompson's charge will take some catching here. Kings Creek won over the minimum here a year ago and has dropped back to a very fair mark while the lightly-raced Schalke should have some improvement in him.
