      Verdict

      A small field goes to post for this maiden and the principals[ look to be Victory Venture, Sea Ridge and Iftikhar and we will take a chance on Victory Venture. The colt, from the bang in form Mark Johnson yard, was a good second on his debut behind the highly regarded Sabiyah. He is sure to have learnt from the experience and given minimal improvement he will be hard to beat. Sea Ridge rates the main danger. She was a fair fifth behind Choral Chimes last time and is sure to be suited by the step down in trip. However she has a 122-day absence to overcome and for that reason is opposed on this occasion. Iftikhar is another worthy of respect as he was a good second behind Tamweel last time but will need to improve again to score. He may however do better in handicaps. The remainder need to better their best to trouble the judge so the confident vote goes to Victory Venture.
