Today could be the day for Dougie Peel to come to the fore and he gets a tentative vote ahead fo Cherry Belle and Digit. The selection is 6lb better off with Cherry Belle for finishing less than two lengths adrift of that opponent when they last met at Thirsk. This c&d winner handles come cut in the ground and is not badly treated at the weights compared to if this were a handicap so he gets the nod. Cherry Belle also handled the same type of conditions well enough at Thirsk and she looks capable of going close. Digit is best rated of these and is clear pick at the weights, but he has been far from convincing so far and tends to spoil his chance by hanging, so we will field against him. Trip and ground suit Dispol Diva, but she might just have a little bit to do at these weights, but Hollow Green looks a likely improver and is worth a market check. Dougie Peel gets the vote today.
