Verdict

Sir Ector comfortably has the call on official ratings despite not having won for almost three years. The Irish raider ran in a Listed contest in April but has been in poor form over jumps this summer. TRENDSETTER has 5lb to find but at least arrives in good form having followed his victory at Carlisle with a fair effort at Ayr so John Quinn's charge looks the one to be on. English Summer has won this for the past two years, the last time when he was rated 12lb higher but he's another who arrives badly out of form. An Fear Ciuin has completed a double over two miles here and at Chester where he's made all and been well clear at this trip. He's unlikely to be granted a long lead over this shorter distance while Biff Johnson has only won on the all-weather. Astra Hall completed a double in April including over the course and distance but has a mountain to climb at the weights.
