Verdict
PEPPERTREE LANE can win this novice hurdle at the expense of Karmadice and Lord Larsson. The selection was a very good flat horse for Mark Johnson winning in Listed and Group 3 class races. Being rated 110 on the level really does set the standard here and although he was beaten into fifth place in an above average race at Newbury on his hurdles debut he should benefit for the experience and could prove difficult to beat. Karmadice will pose as the biggest danger to the selection having won on his race course debut in a bumper at Newcastle. He ran well enough in a competitive novice hurdle thereafter and has to be respected once again. Lord Larsson ran a personal best when finishing third of sixteen on his hurdles debut at Newcastle last time out and can once again be in the shake up. But for the winner we return to Peppertree Lane.
