In depth
Verdict
Jamie Osborne's Awaaser showed promise on his only start as a juvenile at Newcastle a year ago but has not been seen since then and that has to be of concern so a safer bet looks to be Bahara, who is preferred to King of Sting. The last mentioned showed promise on his belated debut at Doncaster in July but the form of that particular race has not worked out all that well so he may be best watched on his first run since then. Luca Cumani's Staunchly stepped up on her debut effort when fifth at Redcar last time and should progress further again but needs to, while On The Bright Side has given little sign of encouragement this term and is not certain to be suited by today's longer trip. Fardi looks fully exposed and a better bet should be Bahara. Mick Channon's filly has run with credit over sprint trips in all three starts and should improve for the step up to seven furlongs today.
