In depth

Verdict

Arizona John won this a year ago from a 5lb higher mark but has been in poor form recently. Amir Pasha loves it around here but prefers some give while Ailsa Craig has never been further than 1m2f though she generally stays on strongly. Ethics Girl is probably better over further but a strong pace will see her in the shake-up while the three-year-old Mica Mika has some strong form and has been racing in better company recently. PLATTSBURGH ran a shocker at Brighton last time but the soft ground was all against him and he's better judged on his comfortable success on faster going at Doncaster and gets the vote in an open event.
