After victories here and at Musselburgh, Whats For Pudding got going too late at Newcastle last week and could find this ground too quick. Emeralds Spirit is consistent enough but doesn't win very often, while Meandmyshadow does best in sellers and claimers. Foreign Rhythm has never won beyond 6f and Viking Warrior has run a couple of poor races since scoring over this trip at Thirsk in June. MONSIEUR PONTAVEN won on fast ground at Ayr last year and has been running well enough in softer conditions recently to suggest he can gain his second career victory in conditions that should suit.
