In depth
Verdict
A number of these met at Newcastle in November. River Marshall (blinkered for the first time today in this 'Hands And Heels' bumper) was sixth, six-and-a-half lengths behind Now Then Sid with Nailbiter in eighth. Now Then Sid must have a chance of confirming the form. The winner that day, Armaguedon, finished 20 lengths ahead of River Marshall at Newcastle. Roma Road showed promise on his debut but then was highly tried next time (finishing 17 lengths behind Armaguedon). Of the others, Shemill is bred to be better than he has shown, Shaluji has shown some promise, Cayman Went's Newbury run was promising and Golden Arms, bred by the Cheveley Park Stud, ought to have ability. It's interesting but Now Then Sid is taken to step up on his debut effort.
