Verdict
War Defender scored over a mile at Newcastle in January but has never been this far, though made a bold bid to lead all over the extended 1m2f there last month. Bamboo Bay scored over the trip at Roscommon for Joseph O'Brien and has joined Philip Kirby for jumping. He had a couple of spins over hurdles at the backend of last year and will be a threat if ready. MYBOYMAX, who invariably goes well here, gets the nod despite being beaten four lengths when runner-up on the track two weeks ago. Molinari is returning from a longer break but he was in double-winning form on good ground in the summer and would have to be considered if it stays dry. Colinton has done well to win four races, the last three over this trip on Tapeta. He didn't stay 1m6f last time but may now be a few pounds high.
