Verdict
Our vote here goes to Minster Glory ahead of Hunters Creek and Stone Cold. Going through the runners. Atticus Finch is rated six pounds higher than for the best of his two chase wins to date, although he is lightly raced and has proven pretty consistent. Five-time winner in Ireland, Fidalus, has an 810-day absence to overcome on his first run for Richard Guest. Looking Forward hasn't run for 228 days and has been raised 8lbs for winning at Sedgefield in April. His jumping had been a concern prior to that and we favour others today. Stone Cold has been raised two pounds for a narrow Carlisle win. He doesn't win that often but a repeat of that effort gives him solid claims. Sir Norman won at Kelso in May but has been beaten from his revised mark. Hunters Creek is the only course and distance winner in the line-up and, having won from a mark of 109 at Sedgefield in April, holds claims from his current mark of 113. This leaves the selection, Minster York. He has won six times over fences, the latest at Towcester from a mark of 107, and he's now rated 110. Generally fairly consistent, he looks the most reliable option in this race and gets the vote.
