      Verdict

      FIRST BOMBARDMENT has the best form on offer. Beaten only a short-head in the Brocklesby at Doncaster on his debut, he gets the nod despite returning a losing favourite the last twice. Ayresome Angel failed to show any progress when third at Beverley and a newcomer will probably prove a bigger threat. Mayfair Lady has an entry in Redcar's Two-Year-Old Trophy while Lady Chara is related to a couple of winnings sprinters and is worth noting along with El Astronaute.
