In depth

Verdict

Scrutiny has completely lost the plot this season after ending his first campaign with a victory at Newbury. David O'Meara can work wonders with cast-offs but his new recruit has been beaten a very long way in all three starts this term. The North Yorkshire handler also runs PATRONA CIANA, who landed a handicap at Ayr in April under Danny Tudhope and she looks the better option at the moment. Cape Of Hope wasn't beaten far in a Hamilton seller last time though that was over 5f and he's yet to prove he stays this trip. Mysterial shows the occasional glimpses of ability but was engaged to run at Musselburgh yesterday.
